Wage Rates: These are percentages of the journeyperson’s wage at the apprentice’s workplace and must meet or exceed the rates set by the Labour Standards Act or any applicable collective agreement. Employers can pay more than the minimum rates.

Level Exams: Not all trades have Level exams. If a trade does not have a Level exam, this requirement is waived until exams are available. Apprentices who complete a pre-employment program do not need to complete a Level 1 exam.

Class Call at Minimum Hours: Class calls may not always happen at the minimum hours listed. there can be some variation based on the availability of training resources and apprentice needs.
