Exam Rules – Written and Online Exams
To ensure a fair and smooth exam experience for all, please follow these rules:
- Check In
Bring your government-issued photo ID and confirmation letter (if you have one). You must be on the invigilator’s list to be able to write the exam. - No Cheating or Exam Misconduct
Cheating will result in immediate termination of the exam and other penalties from the Apprenticeship Authority. Review ATCD’s complete Exam Misconduct Policy here. - No Copying or Sharing Exam Content
You cannot copy, share, or take any exam materials with you. This will result in immediate termination of the exam and other penalties from the Apprenticeship Authority. - No Unauthorized Materials
Do not bring any books, notes, or personal items into the exam room. - No Access to Personal Belongings
You may only use or access items approved by the invigilator. Do not reach into your pockets during the exam. - Remove Outerwear
Take off jackets, hats, and hoods before the exam begins. - No Accessory Bags
Backpacks, purses, and pouches are not allowed. All bags must be placed at the front of the room. - No Electronic Devices
Electronic devices of any kind are not allowed, including, but not limited to: cell phones, tablets, smartwatches, headphones, ear buds, cameras, media players, microphones, pictures, videos, and voice recording or transmitting devices. All electronic devices must be turned off or muted and placed at the front of the room. - Water and Food
Only bring water or food if the invigilator approves. Note: Some computer labs do not allow food or water. - Use Only Provided Supplies
Use only the pencils, erasers, calculators, and scrap paper given by the invigilator. - No Talking, Communication or Disruptions
Stay focused and do not disturb others. - Ask Before Leaving
Get permission from the invigilator if you need to leave the room. - Return All Materials
Give back all exam materials when you’re done. - No Unauthorized Computer Use
Do not open any programs, websites, or applications during the exam. - Keep Your Eyes on Your Own Exam
Do not look at anyone else’s exam materials.
