2025-2030 Climate Change Action Plans

The 2025-2030 Climate Change Action Plans will guide our efforts to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions and assist our communities as we learn to adapt to the realities of climate change.
The 2025-2030 Climate Change Mitigation Plan sets out actions to continue to address the seriousness of the climate change emergency. The actions set out in this plan ensure we will achieve our goal of reducing our greenhouse gas emission by 30 per cent by 2030. In this plan, we are also committing to a new goal for 2040 – to reduce our emissions by 60 per cent by 2040. This will help us meet our commitment to net zero by 2050.

The 2025-2030 Climate Change Adaptation Plan sets out actions to assist governments, organizations, businesses and residents be prepared for a worsening climate. Building resilience and adapting involves implementing strategies and measures to minimize the risks and manage the implications of climate change, such as increased storm severity and fire risk. It is a shared challenge that requires a whole of society approach.
