Project Description:

This proposal is for the construction of a snowmobile trail in the Cat Arm Reservoir area to west of Harbour Deep within the Long Range Mountains, in the central region of the Great Northern Peninsula. Two sections of the trail are proposed to link up existing woods roads and other sections of the snowmobile trail. Section one is proposed from near Brian’s Pond to the Cat Arm Reservoir, a distance of approximately 22 kilometres. Section two is proposed from the Cat Arm Reservoir to Sam’s Pond, a distance of approximately 25 kilometres.

• March 22, 2002 – The undertaking was registered.
• April 26, 2002 – Public comments were due.
• June 7, 2002 – The Minister releases the project from further environmental assessment.
