Project Description:
The proponent plans to construct a snowmobile trail from Southern Head (near Little Burnt Bay) to Lewisporte, Notre Dame Bay. This trail will be approximately 16 kilometres long and will join the existing Notre Dame Snowmobile Trail at Lewisporte. It will thereby, form part of the Newfoundland Integrated Snowmobile Trail. The proposed trail will connect the towns of Little Burnt Bay, Embree and Lewisporte. Construction will consist of clearing trees, signage, etc.
- December 11, 2003 – The undertaking was registered.
- January 15, 2004 – Public comments were due.
- January 25, 2004 – The Minister’s decision was due.
- January 22, 2004 – The Minister announced that the undertaking was released from further environmental assessment.
