Project Description:

The proponent plans to establish and operate a fur tannery in an existing building measuring 16,000 square feet at 30 Lundrigan Drive, Corner Brook Industrial Park. The facility will accept primary processed mink, seal, fox, and beaver skins and provide them with a tan and finish (through a series of chemical and mechanical tanning processes) for sale to furriers.

• May 25, 2004 – The undertaking was registered.
• June 29, 2004 – Public comments are due.
• July 16, 2004 – The Minister released the project from further environmental assessment subject to one condition.
