Project Description:

The proponent proposes a 1,000 breeder mink farm to be located 3 kilometres south of La Scie on Route 414. The 10 acre site will have two sheds/barns for housing the mink (122 metres by 11 metres) which will also be fenced, a storage shed (30 metres by 11 metres), feed kitchen with freezer, and pelting and drying operation. Construction is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2006.

• May 23, 2006 – The undertaking was registered.
• June 28, 2006 – Public comments are due.
• July 7, 2006 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• July 21, 2006 – The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
