Project Description:
The proposed undertaking will consist of a series of galvanized steel cables across the waters of Steady Brook, complete with take-off and landing platforms, cable termination structures and walkway trails. The development is within the boundaries of the Marble Mountain Development Corporation, adjacent to the town of Steady Brook and eight kilometers east of Corner Brook . The zip tour will start near the Steady Brook water treatment building and span across the water at six locations, terminating halfway down the hill between the water treatment building and the base of the mountain.
- June 26, 2007 – The undertaking was registered.
- August 1, 2007 – Public comments are due.
- August 10, 2007 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- August 15, 2007 – The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
