Project Description:

The proposal is to construct a 101 berth recreational small boat marina at Long Pond in Conception Bay South. The project will include the construction of a marginal wharf, finger piers, boat lift, slipway, boat storage space, vehicle parking, municipal and utility services, an accessory building and fuel storage area. To facilitate this construction, there will be some dredging and harbour filling required. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2008 and be completed in 2011.

• April 3, 2008 – The undertaking was registered.
• May 8, 2008 – Public comments are due.
• May 18, 2008 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• July 3, 2009- The project is released from environmental assessment.
