Proponent: East Coast Trail Association
Summary of Environmental Assessment Process
Project Description:
The proposal is to upgrade a traditional coastal trail from Pouch Cove to Cape St. Francis on the Avalon Peninsula. This trail is a continuation of the trail development work that has been undertaken from St. John’s to Pouch Cove. The trail would be approximately one metre wide and seven kilometres long. Proposed trail construction would take place over the next two years. The trail would, for the most part, proceed through a wilderness setting with the addition of boardwalks, stairs and bridges where necessary.
