Project Description:
The project entails the construction and operation of two day use park sites, scenic lookouts and approximately six kilometres of walking/hiking trails with rest stops, adjacent to the St. Genevieve River and Route 430 near the community of Plum Point on the Northern Peninsula. The day use park sites and lookouts will have picnic tables, fire pits and interpretive displays. The walking trails will be a combination of natural walking surface and boardwalks approximately one metre in width. Construction is scheduled to start in early September, 2010.
- July 14, 2010 – The undertaking was registered.
- August 20, 2010 – Public comments are due.
- August 28, 2010 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- September 23, 2010 – The project is released.
