Project Description:

Rambler Metals and Mining Canada Ltd. proposes to mine the crown pillar of the historic Nugget Pond Gold Mine. A total of 24,000 tonnes of waste rock material will be removed by surface extraction to access 8,100 tonnes of ore. Mining will involve drilling/blasting and mined material will be trucked to the nearby Nugget Pond Milling facility, approximately 150 metres away. All mining activities will be conducted within a brownfield site for a duration of approximately 45 days.

• December 20, 2010 – The undertaking was registered.
• January 26, 2011 – Public comments are due.
• February 3, 2011 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• February 15, 2011 – The undertaking was released.
