Project Description:

The L’Anse-Au-Loup Trailway Association proposes to develop an extension to an existing trail system in the Grand Bank area. The project will consist of the construction of approximately seven kilometres of new trail that will join to approximately eight kilometres of existing dirt roads. This trail will allow access from the L’Anse-Au-Loup Trail system to the community of Grand Beach. The trail will be used by recreational vehicles such as atv’s, snowmobiles, as well as for cross country skiing and hiking. Construction of the trail will include manual labour as well as theuse of an excavator and is expected to take three weeks to complete.

• September 16, 2011 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 21, 2011 – Public comments are due.
• October 27, 2011 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• April 19, 2012 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
