Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal to construct a 600 metre rifle range on crownland near Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The facility will require a 100 metre gravel access road,a 30 metre x 60 metre administration building, a 600 metre shooting field, a sheltered shooting stand, a back stop, a ten-vehicle gravel parking lot and a four square kilometre safety area template. Construction of the project is scheduled to take place between May and September 2012.

• February 20, 2012 – The undertaking was registered.
• March 30, 2012 – Public comments are due.
• April 5, 2012 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• March 6, 2012 – Correction to Bulletin.
• April 19, 2012 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
