Project Description:

The proponent proposes to develop 5.9 hectares of Crown land for raspberry production at Spruce Brook on the north side of George’s Lake, south of Corner Brook. The fields, farm access roads and other infrastructure will be developed over a three-year period beginning with 1.6 hectares in September of 2012. Operations will be seasonal from spring to fall and fresh raspberries will be sold to local markets.

• June 18, 2012 – The undertaking was registered.
• July 23, 2012 – Public comments are due.
• August 2, 2012 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• October 19, 2012 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
