Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal for the development of approximately 291 hectares of land for forage production near the Robinson’s Pasture Road approximately five kilometres from the Trans Canada Highway, on the west coast of the province. The purpose of this development is to increase the amount of forage production for the local dairy industry, eliminating the need to import forage from outside the province. Land clearing is scheduled to commence on or before April 1, 2013, pending approvals.

• September 4, 2012 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 11, 2012 – Public comments are due.
• October 19, 2012 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• November 13, 2012 – The undertaking was released.
