Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal to extend the Robert E. Howlett Memorial Drive from the north end of Bay Bulls Big Pond to the southern end of Middle Pond for a distance of 9.4 kilometres.  The project will involve field surveys, right-of-way clearing, grubbing, subgrade construction, stream crossing structures, clean-up and rehabilitation and paving. The proponent is planning to initiate construction once the project has cleared the environmental assessment process.

• January 19, 2015 – The undertaking was registered.
• February 26, 2015 – Deadline for public comments.
• March 5, 2015 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• September 4, 2015 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
