Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct a septage waste treatment facility within the Town of Stephenville and adjacent to the existing sewer treatment facility. The proposed facility will consist of a septage receiving station, sludge treatment beds and conventional effluent disposal field. The facility will be used to treat septic waste from the Stephenville and west to Cape St. George area. The facility will take 4 to 6 months to be completed and is proposed to be operational by summer 2017.

• September 15, 2016 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 21, 2016 – Deadline for public comments.
• October 30, 2016 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• November 24, 2016 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• December 9, 2016 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• December 23, 2016 – Project Released.
