Project Description:

The proponent proposes a 9.1 hectare expansion to the existing quarry near Bauline Line Extension, Portugal Cove-St. Philips, Northeast Avalon Peninsula. The gravel and rock quarry is located approximately 0.35 kilometres southwest of Picco’s Pond and will use the existing access road. The proposed expansion will extend the quarry an additional 300 metres to the southwest, bringing the total site area to 17.1 hectares.

• June 4, 2018 – The undertaking was registered.
• July 12, 2018 – Deadline for public comments.
• July 21, 2018 – The Minister’s Decision is due.
• August 10, 2018 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
