Project Description:
The proponent is proposing to construct a flow control structure and associated flood mitigation
infrastructure at Long Pond on Rennies River in St. John’s. A flow control structure is proposed at
the outlet of Long Pond, and a cast-in-place concrete wall and two earth berms are proposed between Clinch Crescent and Prince Philip Drive.
- January 18, 2022 – The undertaking was registered.
- February 28, 2022 – Public comments are due.
- March 4, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- March 18, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
- April 1, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
- April 25, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
- May 30, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
- May 27, 2022 – The Minister announced the project is released.
