Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to install a processing facility at its existing mine site that would separate mined and stockpiled ore into various products. The processing facility would allow a complete reclamation of existing stockpiles and would eliminate future stockpiles from being created during mine development. Active mining operations in the Oval Pit and Mine Hill deposits would be re-established and a 1.3 kilometre by-pass road would be constructed.

• September 28, 2022 – The undertaking was registered.
• November 3, 2022 – Deadline for public comments.
• November 12, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• November 25, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• December 9, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• December 9, 2022- The Minister determined the project is released.
