Project Description:
The proponent proposes to develop a gold mine on the southwest coast of Newfoundland, approximately 18 kilometres north of Isle aux Morts, and 25 kilometres northeast of Channel-Port aux Basques. The project consists of four main open pits, waste rock piles, a tailings management facility, ore processing and mining facilities, accommodations, and supporting infrastructure. The mine will have a production capacity of 3,600 tonnes per day with potential expansion to 10,000 tonnes per day, and an expected mine life of 10 years.

- December 23, 2022 – Deadline for public comments.
- January 2, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- December 1, 2022 – The project has been withdrawn.
