Project Description:

The Proponent is proposing to operate a five-hectare quarry located two kilometres west of the Veterans Memorial Bridge, in the town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The quarry will produce primarily winter sand and other aggregate materials.

• November 29, 2024 – The undertaking was registered.
• January 3, 2025 – Deadline for public comments.
• January 13, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• January 10, 2025 – The Minister determined the Project is released.
• August 20, 2025 – The Minister has accepted the Water Resources Management Plan.
