Project Description:

The proponent is proposing a 15-hectare quarry extension in Labrador West. The proposed quarry is located along the Trans-Labrador Highway 1.6 kilometres south of Moosehead Lake and 16 kilometres east of the Town of Labrador City. The extension is to their 6-hectare quarry site adjacent to the project.

• February 27, 2025 – The undertaking was registered.
• April 4, 2025 – Deadline for public comments.
• April 13, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• June 21, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due (extension).
• July 5, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due (extension).
• July 19, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due (extension).
• July 21, 2025 – The Minister determined the project is released.
