Project Description:

The proponent has proposed an amendment to the Zone 8 Five-Year Operating Plan (2023-2027) for Districts 17 and 18. Forest Management Planning Zone 8 extends from Gros Morne National Park in the south to the community of St. Anthony in the north. The amendment is necessary to salvage silviculture treated stands.

• December 12, 2025 – The undertaking was registered.
• January 16, 2026 – Deadline for public comments.
• January 26, 2026 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• January 29, 2026 – The Minister determined the project is released.
