Project Description:
The project consists of the construction of a new shore-based, floating marina infrastructure to facilitate a recreational/tourism boating-based industry at Dark Hole, Clarenville. The proponent proposes to remove existing wharves and sheds; construct waterfront breastwork, mooring piers, launch ramp, finger piers, breakwater, roads and parking, and a waterfront building over a period of 2-2.5 years.
- June 26, 2001 – The project was registered.
- August 16, 2001 – The Minister announced that the project was released from environmental assessment.
