Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop a 176-hectare rock quarry approximately 1.5 kilometres south of the town of Port Saunders. The project includes a 1.7 km access road, a laydown/stockpile area and a marine facility for the export of aggregate to international markets. Quarry operations would involve drilling, blasting, crushing, and screening.

• July 25, 2025 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 29, 2025 – Deadline for public comments.
• September 8, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• September 8, 2025 – The Minister has determined the project is released.
