Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop and operate a 14-hectare quarry approximately 17.7 kilometres west of the town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The quarry development would include a 1.4-hectare stockpile area and drilling, blasting, crushing and screening operations.

• July 25, 2025 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 29, 2025 – Deadline for public comments.
• September 8, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• September 9, 2025 – The Minister has determined the project is released.
