Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to replace an aged and deteriorated bridge on the Humber Canal in the town of Deer Lake. The bridge is located at the power station outlet over the tailrace on the Trans-Canada Highway. The project includes demolition and removal of the existing bridge and the construction of a new bridge.

• May 23, 2025 – The undertaking was registered.
• June 27, 2025 – Deadline for public comments.
• July 7, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• July 8, 2025 – The Minister determined the project is released.
