The West Coast Agrifood and Garden Show, with an average of 7,000 visitors per year, has grown to be the largest show of its kind in the province - just since 1998. The dedication and vision of the Agrifood and Garden Show Team have made this possible. Due to this small group of public servants

who felt pride in their work and a desire to support the industry they serve, the Spring Show, as it is called, has become part of the lifestyle of thewestern region.

Without the use of consultants or professional show organizers, the team successfully rallied and profiled three important provincial industries - horticulture, agrifoods and forestry. Their drive and initiative carried this project - and the industry - forward. Hundreds of small companies have availed of their efforts, and they have focused on education involving schools and children in their show.

Each team member has a mind set crucial to the success of the show - that this province has a viable forest, agrifood and horticultural industry which affects all sectors of the population. By supervising each major show exhibit personally, the team members show how committed the public service is to the industry.

Their teamwork has produced outstanding results showing how a dedicated group of public servants, with minimal financial resources, can stir an entire region.
