In October 2010, Corporate Financial Services (CFS) was launched. It was a transition that was difficult for many but Jodi Penney is considered to be the person to have made the move a lot easier. From day one at CFS, Jodi was a friendly face who greeted employees as they entered their new work environment. Jodi went above and beyond to make sure people knew where to go, had what they needed and were settling in their new roles, thereby ensuring a smooth transition. Jodi has helped to build a team environment at CFS and has been called the back bone of the office, as well as the glue that keeps everyone together.

Jodi truly exemplifies the five core values of the Department of Finance: collaboration, integrity, professionalism, responsiveness and timeliness. On a regular basis Jodi deals with outside companies and building managers with professionalism and a demeanor that not only achieves results but builds relationships with those outside the department. She has become the face of CFS and takes great pride in her work, making her a perfect ambassador.

Every new employee of Corporate Financial Services has the pleasure of being taken care of by Jodi. She has even come into the office on her own time to make sure people’s work stations are set up, office supplies are available and paper work is in order. There is no task too big or too small for Jodi and she completes each one efficiently and with a smile.

She anticipates the needs of her co-workers and often has things taken care of before anyone notices that they need to be done. She will not stop until a problem is solved and a task is complete. She has an exceptional work ethic and has gained the respect of all who have crossed her path.

Jodi’s tireless effort, thoughtfulness and positive attitude are infectious and, according to her co-workers, have made the office an amazing place to work.
