Thomasine Barry is the Manager of Protocol with the Protocol Division of the Office of the Executive Council.

Through a career spanning more than 30 years with the public service, Thomasine has been the first face of Newfoundland and Labrador to representatives of other governments from countries all over the world. Whether dealing with Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Consuls General, Prime Ministers, First Ladies, or Princes and Princesses, she has consistently gone above and beyond her duties to ensure the successful execution of various programs.

With great coordination and interpersonal skills, Thomasine connects dignitaries with representatives not only throughout departments and agencies, but also with municipal governments and the academic, business, and cultural sectors.

Behind the scenes; she is a wizard at organization and coordination, however, her light truly shines when she interacts with folks from all over the world. She truly embodies the warmth and hospitality this province is known for.

Her work is exemplary, her representation of Newfoundland and Labrador is stellar, and her genuine, kind, caring and supporting approach endears her to everyone she encounters.
