Collections Services Division

The Collections Services Division of Government Services is mandated to facilitate repayment of outstanding amounts owed to the province including provincially administered taxes payable, defaulted provincial student loans, income and employment support overpayments, and various fees and other receivables of government departments.

Financial Collections Officers are tasked with contacting clients for payments, negotiating payment agreements if necessary, initiating legal actions as required, and referring files to CRA for intercepts of tax refunds and HST rebates.

Administrative staff are responsible for updating payment information into host department databases and assisting management with various reporting requirements and processes.
