Amusement Ride and Elevating Device Registration

The owner of an amusement ride or elevating device shall register with the government service centre each amusement ride and elevating device before its installation and operation and before a major alteration.

Elevating Device Certificate Renewal

Where an owner wants to renew a certificate for an elevating device, the owner shall submit a written request for renewal to the chief inspector in the form set by the chief inspector.

Contractor Licencing

An Elevating Device Contractor’s Licence may be issued to an applicant seeking to construct, install, alter, repair, maintain, service, or test elevating devices.

An Inspection Contractor’s Licence may be issued to an applicant seeking to inspect amusement rides or elevating devices

Elevating Device Mechanic Certification

All individuals involved in the construction, installation, alteration, repair, maintenance, servicing, or testing elevating devices must be certified to do so.

Inspector Certification

All individuals involved in the inspection of amusement rides or elevating devices must be certified to do so.

Amusement Rides and Elevating Devices Inspections

Amusement rides and elevating devices require inspections during installation and prior to operation.  In addition, all amusement rides and elevating devices are inspected periodically in accordance with the periodic inspection internal policy.
