- Federal Government Enquiries and Verification Requests
The federal government (specifically, IRCC or CBSA) may request OIM to further verify information contained in a nominee’s or endorsee’s application for permanent residence or work permit. Such requests may involve, but are not limited to, verification of employment status and location, physical residential address of the nominee, marital status, and family composition of the nominee.
PROCEDURES:
- Upon receipt of the request, the IPDO will start gathering the required information from relevant stakeholders.
Once the requested information has been obtained, the IPDO will consult with the AIP/PNP Team Lead and Manager of Immigration Programs prior to forwarding the information to the federal authority
