The Labrador Air Access Program is here to help make travel more affordable for people living in Labrador and parts of the Northern Peninsula. Here’s what you need to know:
What’s the Goal? The program aims to make personal and leisure air travel more affordable for you.
Discounts! We’ve negotiated special rates and then put a 30 per cent discount on those (government pays the difference.) There are 175 discounted round-trip tickets available each week.
Who Can Use It? Residents of Labrador and those living north of Barlett’s Harbour on the Northern Peninsula can get up to two discounted round-trip tickets per year for personal trips.
Where Can You Fly From? Your tickets need to start from Labrador Airports including the six north coast airstrips, or Blanc Sablon or St. Anthony. You can fly to St. John’s, Gander or Deer Lake. North Coast residents also have the option to choose Goose Bay airport as their destination.
How to Apply? You need to submit an application 28 days prior to your planned departure. Once an application is approved, a booking code will be provided. This code is needed to book a flight directly with PAL Airlines. Make sure to book your flight at least 14 days before the travel day. This 14-day booking period is part of the 28 days needed to process an application.
Applicants should read the program guidelines before applying.
Booking Your Flight Book your flight through PAL Airlines at least 14 days in advance. All travel needs to occur before March 31, 2026.
You must contact PAL Airlines directly to look at flight options. PAL Airlines: 1-800-563-2800
Keeping It Fair This program is a pilot project. We recognize there will be opportunities for improvement and are committed to reviewing the program to enhance where required.
