Dealer Licences expire March 31st, annually. If a dealer wishes to renew their licence, applications and fees must be submitted using the dealer licence online renewal form. Emailed, mailed and faxed copies will not be accepted.
Submitted applications that are incomplete or missing supporting documents will not be accepted or processed. Any dealers who submit an incomplete application will be notified that their application is incomplete and that they are required to resubmit their application for review once complete. Incomplete applications will not be retained.
Dealers are not permitted to carry on business as a dealer once their licence has expired. DealerWEB access will be suspended and dealers will be required to return any inventory and are required to maintain your security (bond) for 120 days after expiry of their dealer licence.
Annual Renewal Fee ($100):
- The annual fee must be paid in the DealerWEB by March 31st.
- The fee will be added to your DealerWEB batch on March 21st annually and will appear in the view batch section of the dashboard.
For dealers operating as Corporations:
- Copy of security (Bond);
- Proof of HST registration;
- Proof of Insurance including a standard garage policy/SPF4;
- Proof of Insurance including commercial liability policy that specifies amount of coverage;
- Certificate of Conduct or a certified Criminal Records check from RNC or RCMP for each director or board member (issued within the past 6 months); and
- Certificate of Good Standing from the Registry of Companies, Government Modernization and Service Delivery.
For dealers operating as Individuals:
- Copy of security (Bond);
- Proof of HST registration;
- Proof of Insurance including a standard garage policy/SPF4;
- Proof of Insurance including commercial liability policy that specifies amount of coverage; and
- Certificate of Conduct or a certified Criminal Records check from RNC or RCMP for each owner (issued within the past 6 months).
For any new operating locations, you will be required to remit:
- Approval from municipality or other acceptable authority approved by the Registrar; and
- Approval that business meets all land use/zoning.
