Your driver’s licence or photo identification photo is required to be updated every 10 years.

Drivers Licence

If you need to update your photo, you will be notified on your driver’s licence renewal application or through your MyGovNL account. You can make an appointment to visit your nearest Motor Registration location to have a new photo taken.

If a new photo is required, you can still renew your drivers licence online and get a receipt that allows you to continue driving for up to 40 days. Your confirmation receipt and your current driver’s licence will be valid for 40 days from the date of payment.
