Of these candidates, 40 are from the Liberal Party, 13 are from the New Democratic Party, 9 are from the NL Alliance Party, 39 are from the Progressive Conservative Party and 9 are non-affiliated candidates. One nomination was rejected because a portion of the papers were incomplete at the close of nominations.
