The Canadian Merchant Service Guild, which represents ferry captains on five of the intra-provincial ferry routes, along with the Provincial Government, advise that the strike action deadline has been extended until Tuesday, August 25 to allow for continued discussions.

As both parties have agreed to extend the potential start of the strike until August 25, schedules for all of the intra-provincial ferry routes remain unchanged at this time.
