Child and Youth Advocate Jackie Lake Kavanagh is extremely pleased to release a 2022 calendar profiling artwork from students of the Mushuau Innu Natuashish School. This calendar project is a joint initiative with the school. The school organized all the children’s artwork and supported their creativity, and the Advocate’s office completed the design and printing and will help with distribution.

Shipments of the calendar have been sent to Natuashish for distribution. Additionally, the calendar is available free of charge through the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate while supplies last. It is also available online.

Quotes
“I am so happy to have been part of this special project. The children’s artwork in this calendar reminds us of the richness in the world that children help create. Collectively, we all must support their talents and help them reach their potential. I believe we will see great things from these young people in the future. I can’t wait to see it all unfold.”

“This calendar showcases the exceptional talent and creativity that our students have. We are so pleased that the Office of the Child Youth Advocate has volunteered to help with this project in such a significant way. Cooperation and recognition from groups like the OCYA gives students the confidence to pursue their dreams and move forward.”
