Media Advisory: Minister Stoodley to Discuss Improvements to Off-road Vehicle Legislation

The Honourable Sarah Stoodley, Minister of Digital Government and Service NL, will hold a news conference tomorrow (Thursday, October 21), to announce proposed legislative changes to strengthen off-road vehicle safety in Newfoundland and Labrador. The event will take place at 12:00 p.m. in the Media Centre, East Block, Confederation Building.

Minister Stoodley will be joined by S/Sgt. David Ossinger of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Cst. James Cadigan of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.

The news conference will be live-streamed on the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s FacebookTwitter and YouTube accounts.

Media covering the news conference will have the opportunity to join in person in the media centre or by teleconference. Media planning to participate should register with Krista Dalton (kristadalton@gov.nl.ca) by 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, October 21).

Technical Briefing

Prior to the announcement, a technical briefing for media will take place at 11:00 a.m.

Media participating in the briefing will also have the opportunity to join in person in the media centre or by teleconference. Media who wish to participate in the technical briefing should RSVP to Krista Dalton (kristadalton@gov.nl.ca), who will provide the details and the required information.

Media must join the teleconference at 10:45 a.m. (NST) to be included on the call. For sound quality purposes, registered media are asked to use a land line if at all possible.
