The Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Education, will hold a media availability today (Monday, November 1) to provide an update on current progress and next steps in the integration of the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District under the Department of Education. The availability will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the main lobby, East Block, Confederation Building.

Technical briefing
Prior to the media availability, a virtual technical briefing for media will take place at 11:30 a.m. to discuss related amendments to the Schools Act, 1997.

Media participating in the briefing are asked to register with Tina Coffey (tcoffey@gov.nl.ca), who will provide the required information.

Media must join the teleconference at 11:15 a.m. (NST) to be included on the call. For sound quality purposes, registered media are asked to use a land line if at all possible.
