The Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Grand Chief Etienne Rich of the Innu Nation will be available today to discuss the appointment of Commissioners for the Inquiry into the Treatment, Experiences and Outcomes of Innu in the Child Protection System.

Premier Furey and Grand Chief Rich will be joined by the Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister Responsible for Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation, and members of the Innu leadership as well as the Commissioners.

The availability will take place at 12:00 p.m. in the lobby of East Block, Confederation Building.

Public health guidelines will be in place.
