Public Advisory: Recreational Cottage Lots Available in Central Newfoundland

Sixty-eight (68) Crown land recreational cottage lots at New Bay Pond in central Newfoundland will be available for purchase following the completion of a public draw.

Public draw entry forms must be submitted by mail on or before Thursday, September 23, 2021 to:

A non-refundable entry fee of $25 payable to Newfoundland Exchequer Account must be submitted with entry forms by cheque or money order. Entries cannot be made in person or online, and will not be accepted by fax or email. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Entry forms, maps, prices and further information are available on the Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture website.

The order in which lots will be allocated will be determined by random sorting of entrants’ names, which will take place at the Land Management Division office in Corner Brook. Public attendance at this meeting is not permitted due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The randomly-sorted list will be posted on the department’s website on or before Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Entrants may select a lot in the order of their randomly-drawn rank at a lot selection meeting, to be held at the Mount Peyton Hotel in Grand Falls-Windsor on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Photo identification is required and attendance is mandatory. Failure to attend will result in disqualification. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only the entrant or the entrant’s representative is permitted to attend. Masks are mandatory for this meeting.
