An in-person meeting to select 68 Crown land recreational cottage lots located at New Bay Pond in central Newfoundland, originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Mount Peyton Hotel in Grand Falls-Windsor, has been cancelled due to an increasing number of COVID-19-related cases in the region.

Lot selection will now take place via telephone on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. The order in which entrants will select lots has been determined by a random sorting of entrants’ names, which took place at the Land Management Division office in Corner Brook today, (Friday, October 8). The list of names and the order of their randomly drawn rankings, along with further information for successful entrants, are available on the department’s website here.

Entrants will be contacted via the telephone number provided on their entry forms in the order of their randomly drawn rank on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. NST to select the lot of their choice. Entrants will be contacted until the total number of lots (68) has been selected, or the entire list of entrants has been contacted.

In the event that all 68 lots have not been selected by 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, the remaining entrants will be contacted in order via telephone on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. NST.
