All big game hunters in the province are reminded to complete and submit licence return forms to the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture’s Wildlife Division.
Successful hunters are required to submit their licence return within seven days of harvest, while unsuccessful licence holders are required to submit their licence return within seven days after the close of the big game hunting season. Closing dates for the Island and Labrador can be found in the online 2021-22 Hunting and Trapping Guide. Licence return forms can be returned by mail or completed online at the department’s Wildlife Information Management System (WIMS) website.
Hunters are also encouraged to submit big game jawbones at drop box locations throughout the province. Drop boxes will remain in place up to two weeks after the close of the big game hunting season.
Completing big game licence returns and submitting jawbones provide Wildlife Division staff with vital information and data that supports the sustainable management of the province’s big game resources.
