The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills, will announce details of support to the Association for New Canadians to help Newfoundlanders and Labradorians interested in personally sponsoring refugees.

The announcement will take place tomorrow (Tuesday, September 14), at the Global Eats Food Truck, 98 Elizabeth Avenue, St. John’s, beginning at 1:00 p.m. The food truck is a social enterprise operated by the Association for New Canadians to train and give food service work experience to people who arrived in Newfoundland and Labrador as refugees.
