Media Advisory: Minister Byrne to Unveil Specialized Training Opportunity in Electric Vehicle Servicing

The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills, will announce a plan to create training for post-secondary students at College of the North Atlantic. He will be joined by the Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister for Environment and Climate Change, and Elizabeth Kidd, President and CEO of College of the North Atlantic.

The announcement will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, October 20) in the automotive service technician shop at the College of the North Atlantic, Prince Philip Drive Campus in St. John’s, beginning at 9:10 a.m. Students and instructional staff will be present and a demo will be featured.

Media are asked to RSVP by 6:00 p.m. today (Tuesday, October 19) to Jeremy Reynolds (jeremyreynolds@gov.nl.ca) so that foot and eye protection can be provided.

Parking is available in-front of the building and entry to the event is through the main doors.

Public health guidelines will be in place.
