Consultations Begin on the Elections Act, 1991

The All-Party Committee to Modernize the Elections Act is inviting input from stakeholders and the public on changes to the Elections Act, 1991. The All-Party Committee was established to identify means to enhance accessibility of voting in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Until December 17, 2021, feedback can be provided during this virtual consultation process at engageNL.ca. This includes an online questionnaire and the option of providing a written submission. In accordance with COVID-19 protocols, in-person and/or virtual sessions will be scheduled following the online consultation process.

Input from the public consultations will be used to inform legislative amendments to the Elections Act, 1991.
